LAND-BASE DATA FOR BROADBAND NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Project Title

Land-base data for implementing system in various cities across India. GIS-based Enterprise Information and Network Management.

 

Client Requirements

  • Base map on 1:12,500 or better and has to be based on inputs from satellite data with a resolution of 5.8 m (IRS-PAN) and Georeferencing is incorporated from control points derived from a Differential GPS measurement and verified with field inputs.
  • Detailed Building level data on 1:1000 scale with accurate spacing between two buildings.
  • Training of the Client’s Technical team for different applications of the Network Management System and data conversion.
  • Skilled Manpower outsourcing for maintaining the Network Management System & to update the GIS data at Client site.
  • Installation and maintenance of “Network Management System” Software i.e. Small World or NE (ESRI) for Running Applications for;
  • Broad Band Network Planners
  • Marketing Department
  • Engineering Department (On field)
  • Maintenance Department / Customer care Centers
    Asset Management


Deliverables

  • 1:12,500 scale Base map data includes all major important layers like Roads, Rivers, Ward Boundaries, Bridges, Junctions & all major landmarks.
  • 1:1000 scale land base data with 1% positional accuracy with accurate spacing between two buildings and all major layers.
  • Classified data in 8 major layers covering approximately 20 types and more that 500 sub types.
  • Final Output in *.Mif format files.
  • Customised Network Management System Software which will permit the client to:
  • To have centralised operations of Network planning & functioning through out the India and centralised data updates & Share data – restricted / unrestricted across multiple company sites.
  • Use of GIS data with Network System as management tool for;
    > Service activation
    > Provisioning
    > Inventory management and monitoring
    > Workflow management
    > Customer services
  • To have entire broadband related data & GIS data integrated on single platform to solve no. of technical, instrument status & service etc. queries and the report generation for multipurpose management requirements and planning.
  • On line Customer service with interrelated technical & marketing departments, which will efficient the company to perform faster on customer complaints and new approved connections and minimize the on site expenses (Cost optimization).
  • To find out the location of potential urban clients, present service areas and non-captured areas, difficulties in approaching the client and the shortest route to reach at the client site etc.
  • Fault detection facility helps to know the break down of signals and GIS data helps to identify the location of customers and the faulty instruments.
